Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vidali Enterprises LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile apps we publish. Each app has its own section below: Merge Defense and Cellar Companion. Questions about either app can go to support@vidalienterprises.com.
Merge Defense
Effective: September 20, 2026
Merge Defense (the "App") is our strategy and tower-defense game. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Gameplay data. Your progress, purchases, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not operate accounts or logins, and we do not receive or store your gameplay data on our own servers.
Advertising data. The App shows optional, opt-in rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. When an ad is shown, AdMob and its advertising partners may collect device identifiers (such as your device's advertising identifier), coarse location (such as country or region), and general device information, in order to select and measure ads. We do not control what AdMob's partners do with this data beyond what Google discloses in its own privacy policy, linked below.
We never show an ad without you choosing to watch one. There are no forced interstitial ads, banners, or autoplaying video in the App — every ad is behind a "watch ad for a bonus" button you tap yourself. If you never tap one of those buttons, no advertising data is collected.
How we use information
We use advertising data solely to serve and measure the rewarded ads described above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond operating the App's optional ad feature.
Third-party services
The App uses Google AdMob to serve rewarded ads. Google's handling of data collected through AdMob is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Depending on your region, you may see an additional consent prompt (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK) before any ad-related data is collected.
Your choices
You can play the App in full without ever triggering data collection, by simply not using the optional "watch ad" buttons. On iOS, you can also limit ad tracking at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt if one is shown.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below and we will address it.
Data retention
We do not retain gameplay or advertising data ourselves, since we do not operate backend servers that store it. Any data retention by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised policy.

Cellar Companion
Effective: October 1, 2026
About this section
This section explains how Vidali Enterprises LLC handles information in Cellar Companion.
Your account
You can start using the app without supplying an email address; the app creates an account with a unique identifier to keep your cellar.
If you save or open your cellar with an email code, we store your email address for sign-in and send the code through Resend. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple supplies an account identifier and the email address you allow it to share, which can be a private relay address instead of your personal address. When Apple supplies your name at first authorization, the app saves it as your display name in the current cellar; you can edit that name in Sharing.
Your sign-in state is also kept on your device so the app can reopen your account.
Your cellar
We store your cellars, their names and members, wine and bottle details, storage racks and positions, saved barcodes, catalogue references and confirmations, and the history of changes to your cellar. Bottle records can include purchase price, currency, date and shop, a consumption date, a rating, and optional notes.
Members of a shared cellar can see its bottles, purchase details, notes, ratings, racks and history, together with members’ display names; this does not give them access to your account email or your other cellars.
Invitations record who created and used them; anyone with a valid invitation code can preview the cellar name, owner’s display name and member count.
The app remembers a cellar’s wine-to-barcode associations even after its last bottle is removed, so a later scan can find that wine again. Those remembered associations are readable only by that cellar’s members.
Shared wine information and community evidence
Wine details are stored in a shared catalogue readable by app accounts: producer, name, vintage, grape, region, colour, estimated drinking window and taste characteristics, with the source of those details. A shared wine entry has no account-owner field; the bottle linking it to your cellar is protected by cellar membership.
When you scan a usable product barcode, the app sends the code and the read’s vintage, or no vintage, to look for community suggestions. After you save a bottle with a usable code, the app attempts to record one confirmation per account, wine and code; repeated saves by the same account do not add to that count.
Other app accounts can read the barcode-to-wine association, vintage, number of distinct confirming accounts, and first and last confirmation times, together with the shared wine details. They cannot read the private confirmation ledger that links a vote to an account and bottle. These counts provide suggestions for you to choose, not automatic confirmation of a wine.
A wine edit can replace its barcode vote, and deleting the contributing bottle or account removes the corresponding votes and updates the community counts.
What stays on your device
Label photos and wine-list photos are read on your device and are not uploaded by the app. Text recognition, label reading and matching against the bundled wine reference run on the device, without sending the photos or raw recognized text to an AI service or the reference provider. The wine fields you save from a read are part of the cellar records described above and do sync to the server.
Temporary capture copies are deleted after reading and review copies are discarded when the confirmation flow closes; a saved bottle can keep a small label thumbnail locally on your phone. The thumbnail is not synced to the cellar service and may be included in your phone’s own backup.
Storage and service providers
Supabase hosts account authentication and cellar storage in the United States, in its Oregon region (us-west-2). Resend receives the destination email address and sign-in message to deliver email codes. Apple handles Sign in with Apple and the authorization used to revoke that sign-in access at account deletion.
The app uses these records to save and reopen your cellar, share it with its members, and provide the community suggestions described above.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account to remove your account, its sign-in information, memberships and barcode votes, and every cellar you own with its bottles, racks, remembered wine associations, invitations and history. If other people still belong to a cellar you own, you must transfer its ownership or remove those members before deleting your account.
Bottles and history you contributed to other people’s cellars remain there with your actor identity removed and displayed as a former member. Shared wine catalogue entries remain because they do not identify an account owner.
For an Apple-linked account, deletion first asks you to authorize with Apple so our server can exchange that authorization and revoke Apple sign-in access in the same request, without storing Apple’s returned credentials. Cancelling the Apple sheet leaves your account unchanged. If revocation fails, you can retry once; after a second failure you can still delete your account, and the app explains how to remove the sign-in under Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple.
Wine reference licence
Wine names, producers and regions come from the LWIN database by Liv-ex (liv-ex.com/lwin), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0). Cellar Companion bundles a trimmed and reformatted subset of the database. Liv-ex has not reviewed or endorsed this app.
